Lereko Foundation was incorporated in 2015 to further fulfill our commitment to broad-based participation. The priority beneficiaries are youth, women and people with disabilities, with primary focus in education. The Foundation will benefit from Lereko’s varied and forward-looking investments. Currently the Foundation is not accepting any applications.
NORTH WEST COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT TRUST (NWCDT)
The Trust was founded in 2006 to participate as a BBBEE entity, Dinokana Investments, a strategic BEE partner of Sun International. Benefits to the NWCDT started flowing in 2007 and will continue until December 2018 when the Sun International investment matures. The strategic aim of the Trust is to support educators and learners by facilitating an environment conducive to learning, resourcing and refurbishing school buildings and learning spaces. The NWCDT benefits mainly schools for children with special needs in communities around Sun City, Morula Sun and Carousel in the North West.
To date, three such schools have benefited from the support. They are LM Mokwena in Hammanskraal, Obed More in Brits and Reoleboge in Moruleng.

Lulu Gwagwa is the founder and Chairperson of Mhakazi Trust which supports youth in Umzimkhulu, KwaZulu Natal. The strategic aim of the Trust is to sustainably reduce the level of vulnerability of the community of Umzimkhulu through the empowerment of young people by providing holistic education support, supporting young people through skills and personal development and supporting the elderly by providing basic needs for their orphaned grandchildren.
