Ownership Structure
Lereko’s key shareholders Valli Moosa, Popo Molefe and Lulu Gwagwa all participate actively in managing the business. Each of them hold an executive position and play a further role in the management of portfolio companies. Black women shareholding in Lereko currently stands at 29%.
In line with a strategy to enable Lereko to conclude larger deals and accelerate sustainable growth, Absa Capital acquired a 10% equity stake in the business in November 2006.
