ABOUT
Lereko Investments was established in late 2004 as a black-owned investment company. The founding partners, the late Eric Molobi, Valli Moosa and Dr Popo Molefe had a vision of becoming effectively involved in broad-based empowerment in South African business. Shortly after its inception, Dr Lulu Gwagwa joined Lereko as Chief Operating Officer.
Moosa, Molefe and Gwagwa have all held senior office in the public service, and have together brought keen leadership and relevant experience to Lereko. Investments have been made in a number of companies where a shared mindset of both commercial imperatives and transformation commitment have been identified.
Lereko’s founders have an entrepreneurial spirit and have set themselves a long term goal of establishing Lereko as a company of the future, focusing on long-term business partnerships. As such the Lereko team is committed to playing the role of fair, ethical and value-adding partner in all its business dealings.
